Alice Arrives in Whitby
Leading a collaborative community initiative Whitby in Bloom will create an ‘Alice’ themed garden in the fledgling green space on Cliff Street, adjacent to the car park and behind Poundland.
Currently this area is a hot-spot for anti-social behaviour, we will transform it into a civic asset where visitors and residents can rest together and enjoy the view.

Caedmon Rest
The aim of the garden is to bring together the community in making a difference to those living with dementia.

Growing Wild
Our idea for improving the local neighbourhood is to transform the stepped pathway that leads from Whitby Abbey car-park into the centre of town by clearing away the rubbish, removing the excessive bramble growth, painting the railings and seats and planting wild flowers and sustainable wildlife friendly shrubs.
